Also known as bleeding Hydnellum, bleeding tooth fungus, red-juice tooth, and Devil’s tooth. Cap Color: White to pink when young, with red fluid oozing “blood”. Cap Shape: Funnel-shaped with irregular margin. Cap Size: To 6″(15cm). Spines: Pink to purplish-brown. Stem Color: White to pink. Stem Texture: Felty. Stem Size: To 3″(7.5cm) Season: September through October. Habitat: Ground. Range: North America, Europe, recently found in Iran and Korea. Edibility: Inedible.
